行程的第一晚就入宿于日本三大温泉区之一 - 下吕。

由于这是温泉区，所以形成了这里以温泉相关的行业为主要经济命脉的小镇。

Gero
Much to our relief that it was a fair weather on the second day of our trip, following a night stay at Gero.

Being one of the three major hot spring resort district, it's not surprise to have lodging ranging from hotels to resorts equipped with their own hot spring facility for their guests in Gero.
 

The lack of big-named accommodations with only those family-run inns in Gero allows the preservation of that simplicity in Gero 没有显眼的五星级旅店，而是聚集民营的家庭式旅舍的下吕保留了纯朴小镇的气息

 A scale model of a giant lime stone where natural spring water flow through 这是个岩石山的模型，一些自然泉水就是从这里流出

"三町伝"
这个景点区位于高山市的中桥附近的几条小巷，据说是当地政府规划的保留区

这些日本古时代的建筑物是从武士时代保留至今，就算要在这盖起新楼房，有关当局已规定必须以这类型的概念和设计来盖。

一般这类建筑都是小本商店经营，楼下为店面，楼上通常为店家住宅。
“Samachi Traditional Buildings Preservation Area”
Located in the town of Takayama, the group of gazetted traditional buildings are found the area called Samachi.

Dated from the era of the Samurais, these buildings now facilitate as premises of mainly family-run businesses.

According to the guide, because of its gazetted status, any form of reconstruction or addition of new buildings in the area must strictly adhere to the style established.

"三町伝" 的事与物 Samachi's sight and scene

左右两旁都是武士时代遗留下来的古建筑群，中间的走道顶多能让脚踏车或人力车通行 Narrow walkway flanked by these Samurai-era buildings were what we saw at this preservation area

 这些人力车夫都以这行业感到自豪，因为能为外来客解说“三町伝”的点点滴滴是满足感极高的事，所以都很乐意那么做 To this rickshaw rider it is a pride to ferry tourists around the streets, as they see themselves as the ambassador of this area by sharing the glory past of the town with them

这家店面出售一般餐具及一些器皿 This shop specialized on the bowl and utensils - see how neatly they were being displayed

 尝一尝这碳烤煎饼口感乃脆脆地，但带点涂上酱汁的咸味.This grilled cracker tasted a bit salty due to the marinated sauce that sprayed over the top

白川乡
这个被列为世界文化遗产的村落的一大特色是那些用稻草铺盖的屋顶。

别小看这些稻草所砌成的屋顶，在寒冬的气候，它可是能防积雪的功能。

也因为它的倾斜度，积雪也很快从顶上表层滑落到地面。

Shirakawa-Go
This remote village located at the outskirts of Takayama, is one of the UNESCO Heritage sites in Japan.

The uniqueness of the village is the steep-angled hay rooftop of those houses found in this small village.

Because of its revered status, tourism is now the main revenue earner of this village.

利用这座吊桥，我们望白川乡前进 We crossed the suspension bridge that linked the both side of the stream before making our inroads to the village.

由于一位团友的要求，好心的司机大哥把我们载上比邻的山顶好让大伙有机会从此处拍下这个画面 。 It was a late request from one of the group members that the kind coach driver obliged and brought to the mountain beside the village and captured this extraordinary sight.
